About this Workshop

This Workshop builds personal leadership skills you can leverage with yourself, co-workers, teams and entire organizations. Some of the themes explored in this course are:

Emotions of Change

What is the first thing that happens when we are faced with a change? We have an emotional reaction. Most change management programs totally ignore this fact.  If people don’t get over their fear, anger, betrayal, anxiety or resentment, THEY DON’T HANDLE THE CHANGE WELL. Understanding this emotional component of change helps managers cope and intervene effectively.

Psychology of Change

Do you wonder why people overreact and otherwise reasonable people become irrational? Without understanding what is going on managers may misinterpret the behaviors in negative ways. These misinterpretations can cause more bad behaviors, slow the change process, and further damage trust and relationships.

Creative Thinking

Practice a process to enable you to turn the change into something useful for YOU! Thru this process, you will see how you can take responsibility for yourself throughout the change experience situation.

Requesting Skills

When faced with a change, most people become more self-reliant, which isolates them from potential support that is available. Identifying and making effective requests is critical to get the support, resources and to help YOU move on to better outcomes.
